siblings

Kinsley (age 4 on March 29) likes to bug her brother sometimes in the car by making her "annoying face". The first few times it happened, Payton cried and when asked what was wrong said "Kinsley is making her annoying face." Coming home from a long weekend of skiing a couple of weeks ago, Payton

Many of you have already received this email that has been around the past couple of weeks but it's a good reminder. 1. The Bible will still have all the answers.2. Prayer will still work.3. The Holy Spirit will still move.4. God will still inhabit the praises of His people.5. There

Kinsley-isms

Kinsley doesn't really like to eat all that much and needs a lot of encouragement at mealtime. She was eating a cheese crisp last night and her dad said "eat one more piece." Two bites into that piece, she got her Bible, open it, and said: “Dad, it says right here that I’m full.”

"Out of the mouths of babes..."

Alicia and Keith have a bachelor next-door neighbor whom they have "adopted". He loves their children and they adore him. Mitch (or "Stitch" as Kinsley, age 3, called him at first) was at their house for dinner last week. Payton (age 6) asked him "Mitch, why don't you go to church?" Mitch laughed.

The Oregon Coast

My friend Sue Dismore and I spent 5 days in Lincoln City last week. I met Sue in 1958 when we were sorority sisters at Butler University in Indianapolis. She moved to California and I moved to Arizona after we graduated from Butler. We have kept in touch and after 50 years, we now live 20 minutes

What a great day.

I had a glorious 4th of July. Keith worked all day, Payton and Kinsley swam most of day, Logan spent the weekend with his mom and Alicia and I girl-bonded by shopping several hours at the outlet mall. We had dinner with the Dart neighbors next door and then headed down the river with them to watch

What's the magic word?

Kinsley (age 3) was trying to get past her mom the other day and asked her to move. Alicia asked "what's the magic word?" Kinsley said "abracadabra." Although she has the best manners for a three-year old that a grandma has ever seen, I guess no one ever told her the real magic word.
